Naturopathic medicine emphasizes health in harmony utilizing traditional and alternative clinical approaches to health care and the management of disease with nutrition and botanical medicines, homeopathic strategies, physical protocols, Oriental medicine and pharmaceutical preparations.

The Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (NMD) is trained to cooperatively manage patients and refer them to medical professionals when indicated.
The White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine recently issued a policy which states: “Since the public utilizes both conventional health care and complementary-alternative medicine (CAM), the Commission believes that this reality should be reflected in the education of all healthcare practitioners”.

Americans are seeking more choices in their health care today by being more proactive in their approach to preventing disease versus being reactive with age-related, progressively debilitating, and/or environmental diseases.

Naturopathic medicine will be an integral component of the healthcare model in managing the health and disease conditions for Americans for all ages in the next decade and years to come.
